Tiny Tigers
Designed for preschoolers ages 3-4, the Tiny Tigers program promotes
self-confidence while preparing children for a school environment.
Activities are tailored to improve gross motor skills which are vital
to development for this age group. Active listening, teamwork, respect
and self-control are the main focus points of these half hour classes.
Little
Dragons
Designed for children ages 5-6, the little dragons class prepares
students for the transition into the Dragon class. Children of this age
are beginning to develop more fine motor skills so more of a stress is
placed on proper technique. Along with the same focus points as in the
Tiny Tigers classes, these classes help develop patience and life
skills. Since many of the children have started school, quarterly
progress reports from teachers detailing behavior and attitude are
required for belt testing. Upon turning 7, children are placed into the
Dragons novice class with the rank of Yellow Belt.
Dragons - Novice
This class includes all children ages 7-12 who are relatively new to
the sport, ranking White Belt through Orange Belt. Basic techniques are
taught with the emphasis placed on proper stance and good technique.
Students are introduced to the five tenants of Tae Kwon Do and to the
student pledge. Students are expected to memorize a series of 10-12
moves, over a period of 3 months. These students are required to
provide quarterly progress reports from school teachers in regard to
behavior, attitude and academic progress in order to qualify for belt
testing. Students generally remain in this class for the first nine
months of their training.
Dragons - Intermediate
This class is geared toward children aged 7-12 who have achieved the
rank of Green Belt. Students with good attendance remain in this class
generally until they reach Blue Belt. In the intermediate class, stress
is placed on perfecting the basic strikes introduced in the Novice
classes as well as being introduced to the more advanced hands and feet
techniques. (For example: Tornado Kick and Spinning Hook kick and many
elbow strikes are introduced at this level.) Students are expected to
memorized the student creed as they progress through this class as well
as various forms and self-defense techniques. Quarterly progress
reports are required from school teachers for all student detailing
behavior, attitude and academic progress in order to advance in rank.
Dragons - Advanced
Dragons - Advanced classes help a student improve their current skills
and steers them into practical self-defense techniques. Emphasis is
placed upon making them a more well-rounded martial artist while
instilling respect, displine, focus and personal growth. Call us at
